Installation Steps1.Plan Sensor Placement:Determine the ideal location for the sensors on the front or rear bumper, ensuring proper coverage. Use painter's tape to mark the spots.Factory locations often have existing holes if your specific trim level didn't come with the feature, but a new bumper may require drilling.2.Drill Sensor Holes:Use a center punch and hammer to create a small divot in the marked locations to prevent the drill bit from wandering.Drill a small pilot hole first, then use a step bit to gradually enlarge the hole to the size specified by your sensor kit. Take your time to ensure a precise fit.Deburr the edges of the holes and consider painting the bare metal edge to prevent rust.3.Mount the Sensors:Carefully insert the sensors into the drilled holes. They should fit snugly.Route the sensor wires through the bumper and into the vehicle's interior (e.g., the trunk or under the dash) to the location where you plan to mount the main control unit (brain).4.Mount the Control Unit and Display:Find a convenient, secure spot for the control unit, such as in the trunk or under the dashboard.Run the wire for the display/speaker to your desired location in the dash, leaving a little slack for adjustments.5.Wire the System:Connect the sensor wires to the control unit. Ensure each sensor is connected to the correct input if they are position-specific.Connect the power harness to the control unit. You will need to tap into a power source.For a rear system, connect the trigger wire (usually yellow or white) to the reverse light wire so the system activates when you shift into reverse. For a front system, it may activate with the brake lights or an on/off switch.Use a multimeter to identify the correct wires in the vehicle's harness and use T-tap connectors or butt connectors for secure connections.6.Test the System:Start the vehicle and put it in reverse (for a rear system) to test the sensors with an object.Adjust the display/speaker as needed and ensure all components are working correctly
